Up Every Morn

A Dodoitsu Poem by Chris Bunton

Up every morning to work;
Slaving away for the bills.
Just to take care of the home
I spend no time in.

Working every day, all day;
For that American dream.
Paying my taxes to watch;
them sent over seas.

Struggling to make ends meet;
doing the things we should do.
Following the petty rules;
that leaders ignore.

Up again to slave away,
for those who simply use you.
Find a way to make it good,
and have peace within.
