In The Park

Haiku Sonnet By Chris Bunton

Sitting in the park,
On a dreary autumn day.
Watching the leaves fall.

Squirrels gathering nuts.
Working to survive winter.
They know what they need.

But what about me?
What real purpose do I have?
All of nature knows.

They all know their place.
Do they question their purpose?
Do birds wonder why?

Humans are corrupt in our ways.
Do we even belong in this place?
