Respect For Liberty

Rispetto Poem by Chris Bunton

Liberty is a woman, hard to be held.

To the fearful, timid man, her flesh seems cold.

It’s hard for them to live, where no rules are spelled.

Her body yearns, for the just, faithful and bold.

Killing her, they betray family and friends.

Marching shamefully with today’s fleeting trends.

Oh Liberty! Liberty! Where have you gone?

Patriots respect liberty with swords drawn.
