That Night

Christmas Poem by Chris Bunton

On a night long ago;
in a town far away.
Our savior was born,
to take our shame.

He came from on high
to a lowly place.
To offer humans Grace,
and a life full of Hope.

Gods glory appeared
to the shepherds there.
And they ran to where,
they knew He would lay.

That purest lamb,
was shown to them
In swaddling cloth,
on a manger’s hay.

The shepherds ran
to tell the tale.

On that dark night,
light came to shine,
to show us the way
and save our soul

On that night He came
to be with us.

Our Immanuel.
