The Lesson Of Job

When we face trouble, we have one focus

We all face trouble in life. It is something we can all agree upon. No matter who you are, something bad will eventually come to cause you trouble. Something will break your heart. Something will break you down. Something will make you crazy, concerned or confused.

When we look at the story of Job in the Bible. We see a lot of spiritual truth that we can apply to our lives.

Now, understand that trouble is relative to you. Just because someone on the other side of the Earth is in extreme poverty with nothing. Doesn’t make your problems any less concerning. Just because someone else is dying of some terrible disease, doesn’t make your troubles any less destructive to your life.

Evil is evil, in whatever form it manifests. We need to stop belittling peoples troubles and start solving problems. It’s very possible that if we solved the petty problems, they would not become the huge problems. If we cared about the person who can’t afford simple things, we might also care about the person in total poverty and solve the problem. If we care about the person with a flu bug, we might also care about the dying man, or even prevent disease from growing.

I say this because Job, faced terrible tribulation. He lost everything he owned, His children were all killed, and his health was attacked. On top of that, his wife was against him.

Just because Job’s troubles were really bad, doesn’t mean yours are not concerning to you. The Bible often gives us the most extreme vision of things so that we will see that our troubles are also able to be overcome. The same faith can overcome all of it. The same God is with us in all of it, no matter how big or small.

In the book of Job, Satan comes to God and asks to test Job. He claims that if Job is mistreated he will turn from God.

That is the focus of the story and that is our focus. Nothing else matters.

It doesn’t matter how bad the trouble was. It doesn’t matter if God allowed it. It doesn’t matter if Satan did it, or God did it. None of it matters.

Because Job had no clue. He just knows he is having trouble. His whole life has been upended. We even see toward the end of the book that Job is confused and has questions. It’s ok to have questions, doubts and confusion. But, Job turned to God. Job stayed with God. That’s the point.

When we face trouble, we often have no clue what’s going on. We might think it’s nature. Or God is punishing us or the devil is attacking us. We might know exactly what we did or didn’t do. We might be suffering because of something done to us by people who claim to love us.

None of it matters.

The answer for all of it is the same. Turn to God.

Pray to Him, ask Him to save you and help you. Listen to His guidance.

Job said, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him” (Job 13:15)

He turned to God and trusted Him. Even if God chose to kill him, Job knew God was good and had good reasons. He trusted God, and continued walking in the way that he was walking in his life, because he did not see that he had done anything wrong. And he hadn’t. God will let you know.

The whole point of the story is that Job turned to God and stayed with Him. No matter how bad. No matter what philosophies, or good intentions from friends. No matter how much a friend called him a sinner. No matter how much pain and humiliation. Even when his wife, was led by Satan to say, “Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.”

Job stayed with God. He trusted God and turned to God.

Now understand that I am not talking about going to church. You can go to church all you want and still not know God. You can be the greatest member of your church and still be lost.

Do you know Him? Do you trust Him? Turn to Him.

This can be seen in the Garden when Satan through the Serpent, tempted Eve. He caused her to doubt God’s promises and His goodness. (Gen. 3)

That is the the devil’s favorite tactic. To get us to stop trusting God and to not reach out to Him. Once that’s done, we have no real hope or real help. We are defenseless and powerless.

This is why God brought the curse. It is designed to cause us to turn to God.

When Adam ate of the fruit all humanity gained a corrupted nature through him. The only solution is to turn to God for salvation and help. The Curse causes us to seek that help, if we are willing.

Always turn to God. Turn to Him in everything, and He will save you, lead you, grow you and know you.

You have a choice. Do not let trouble or the enemy drive you away from God. Turn to Him and let Him work.

Trusting God

He is faithful God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.—1 Cor. 1:9 How is trust built? With anyone, whether it’s parents or friends or enemies or government or neighbors, trust is built or destroyed by relationship, and experience. It is the same with God.…

The Great Falling Away

It will happen in these last days “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (The Day of The Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”— 2 Thess. 2:3   (2 Thess 2:1-15) It seems that this event…

Grandpa

Things he taught

I opened Grandpa’s tackle box,
and there was his best fishing lure.
Silver fish with the tail of a fox.
It got a lot of use, that’s for sure.

He taught me to tie a fishing knot.
A strong one that wouldn’t break.
He taught me to clean what I caught,
and wash my hands in the lake.

How to put a worm on a hook,
and remove the fish when I got one.
To release the small one I took
and play the fish when they run.

He showed how to cast a fly rod,
with flies of feather and fur.
Grandpa’s gone but not forgot.
Memories flow through that fishing lure.

Why Do We Study Prophecy?

So, we know the seasons. The Bible is 30% prophecy, as some have stated. But, when you consider that the whole thing is about Jesus Christ, and that all the stories and pictures speak of Him, His First Coming and Second Coming, I think its more like 100%. God has called all believers to be…

Faith And Works

God works to build the Kingdom through us. James 2:14-26 In this passage. The apostle James, speaks of works being an aspect of our faith. It ends with the famous phrase “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” In the verses James shows that God commanded…

Death of the Sun

It’s going down

Turn your back to the setting sun and see,
golden rays of dying light, dancing glee.
Leaves flashing silver, from the gentle wind;
shifting shadows, playing games with lights blend.

Heat on my back; orange and red paints the sky.
In sweeping raids the Purple Martins, fly.
I cannot watch the death of the sun,
with sounds of joy from beasts; light will always shun.

As darkness rides in to take command;
lights dying grasp an ovation to demand.
Creatures of light, run to cower away,
Hiding in silence, till break of day.

Solar orbs last dying might,
sends power to light the night.

The Beasts Of The Field

Why does God let us struggle? When we get saved, we might notice that there are things that change in us immediately. But, there are other things that do not. It’s like God saves us and removes some things but leaves other things in our lives for us to struggle with. I mean if God…

What Is Wrong With Us?

We are corrupt at the very core. What I am going to present to you today is something different. A different way to look at the world, and humanity. Something different than the legalism around us. As Christians we are taught and have come to understand a view of God, Scripture and the World based…

Our Suffering In Christ

We are tempted to reject Him. When we get saved, we confess Jesus as our Lord, and believe in Him alone for salvation. We are called to Walk in the Spirit, and to abide in Him. We get great joy in the Lord. Prayers answered. Life changing experiences, and we see Him working to protect…

Happy Place

Are you trying to escape?

I was asleep, and in my happy place. I’m not sure where that is, but it is a place where I finally relax. It is a place where everything is ok. Where there are no problems. I was there, and I was happy; until suddenly I was pounced on. I was literally pounced on by my wife with both hands. And she says

“Are you warm?”

So, I thought, “Well, I am now that I’m scared to death thinking a tiger was eating me.”

“Your breathing was weird.” She said,

“That’s because I was dying, and going to my happy place. Why did you stop me?”

Do you ever notice that it seems like old married guys always get sleep apnea?

I’ve slept alone for years perfectly fine, and went to my happy place, every night and enjoyed myself. But, apparently when I go there, I stop breathing. So, I told her. Just let me die. I don’t care. I’m happy. I’ve escaped this place.

This got me thinking, that all these old married guys are trying to escape. Every night they go to sleep and they find their happy place. The one place they can truly get away. And there she is pouncing on them and taking them to the doctor.

“He stops breathing in his sleep” She says.

“Well, we’ll fix that” The doc says. “Just strap this thing to your face when you sleep and it will force feed oxygen into your cranium and make you to stay alive.”

So, these CPAP machines, that these wives trick their husbands into wearing are actually, like those ankle bracelets prisoners wear. It keeps them from escaping to the happy place.

Seriously, is there anything really worth staying here for? Has this life been so great to you that you wouldn’t like to go somewhere else?

We get drunk to escape. We travel to escape. We skip school to escape. We call in sick to escape. We read books and watch movies, and listen to music, to escape. We do art, and enjoy time with our families to escape. Why is this world so awful that we constantly try to escape in some way? Maybe we need to change our lives, or society and create a life we do not feel the need to escape from.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Time flies when you are having fun?”  That’s because you had escaped, and now this world is dragging you back into its miserable clutches. Time drags when you are in chains.

Have you ever noticed that you hate Sunday night? You dread Monday morning. You dread it because you had escaped. You were free.  You were yourself and alive. But, now it’s time to go back to prison. Now it’s time to buckle down and do your masters work.

But, secretly you start looking for Friday. You start working for the weekend. You realize that you are really working so you can have money to do what you love, when you are free to do it. You thank God it’s Friday. You are free again. You have escaped.

We work for retirement. That is escape. That is the hope of freedom. That is the carrot they dangle in front of you to get you to slave away and waste the best years of your life, making them rich. Then, when you finally get to retirement, your body hurts, and you can’t remember what you had for breakfast. You go to do the things you love, but worry about breaking a hip, while you do it. It’s a joke on you.

Stop giving your life to people who would replace you in a day. They would fire you, if you post the wrong thing online, or if they need to save a little money. Live for God, live for family, live to help others, live to be the person you were born to be.

We work 40 hours a week to pay for a mansion we barely spend time in. We work to give nice things to family members we barely see. We are in debt to things that control us, and drive us to sell ourselves into slavery.

And that’s why we long to escape. Free yourself from these things, and live the life God calls you to.

The Darkest Time Of Year

It’s hard sometimes This time of year, around Christmas is a very hard time of year for many people. It is not a joyful festive time, no matter how much we try to dress it up with religious zeal, and bright lights. This is the time of year we often miss those who have gone…

The Coming Persecution

A Look at Matthew 24 “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive…

How Are We Tempted?

It’s important to understand. In order to resist temptation, we must understand what is going on. If we miss an aspect of it, we cannot really resist it. We just shift it around or suffer through. “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with…

Drunken Lad

It started long ago.

I grew up drunk;
raised by a drunken man,
in a broken drunken land.

Generations in the bars,
of the tiny coal town.
with bar stools all their own.

Something happened with grandpa,
He turned to demon drink.
He got sucked in.

His wife and kids grew up poor,
A coal mining family
My dad to be.

The drinking, the cheating,
the gambling and bar fights.
The never home at nights.

The fear when he did come home.
The cussings and beatings,
the devastated feelings.

To love him anyway.
to grow up to be like him.
violent and drunken.

He died long ago.
and this drunken lad,
tried to be a man.

But, what is a real man?
it’s not what I thought.
being in a house of rot.

Living a tough guy life,
in a beer bottle haze.
Days of manly craze.

Till broken by God.
waking up to life
and His guiding hand.

Rock bottom destruction.
To build something new.
Faith and hope grew.

The drunken lad,
grew to a real man.
Despite the curse’s plan.

How Do I Turn To God?

What does that look like? It’s so simple anyone can do it. That is how God designed it. I’m going to avoid magical theological words and just give it straight. As we go through life things happen to us. Good things and bad. We have excitement over good things. We celebrate victories and enjoy time…

The Root Of All Evil

A Deeper Meaning “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”—1 Tim. 6:10 People often misquote it as “money” is the root of all evil. But it’s not. Money is a tool. Like a…

The Gathering

What is it? Let us rightly divide 2 Thessalonians 2, and come to some conclusions about the near future. This book was written by the Apostle Paul. He is speaking of the last days, which we are in. I’m using the KJV. “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,…

Meat vs. Milk

Are you ready yet?

“Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”— Heb. 5:11-14

God’s Word teaches us that there is a difference between milk and meat when it comes to our growth in Christ.

There comes a point when we have read the Word, over and over. When we have sat in all the bible studies and read commentary books. When we have heard all the sermons for years. There comes a point when we are supposed to be ready to serve Christ.

There comes a point where we step into our gift and start using it for the Kingdom. When Church is no longer about sitting in the same pew, listening to the same music, and the same sermon series, from the same guy who gives only milk to drink.

The burden is on both the leader and the church member to grow.

If all a church member ever gets from the pastor or preacher is milk, then how are they supposed to be ready to consume meat?

If the pastor never hears from the Holy Spirit, or even talks about the Holy Spirit, then who is guiding this man? Who is giving him his sermon notes? Does he get his ideas from other preachers in books who never spoke of the Holy Spirit? Men who never spoke as unto the Oracles of God themselves?

The preacher is to tell the flock what the Holy Spirit tells him to preach. It’s not about what the preacher thinks. It’s not a scholarly task. If he says “I was thinking about this”, he is glorifying himself. He should be teaching what the Spirit has told him. If he can’t “Speak as the Oracle of God” meaning that he is speaking what God has told him to say, then he needs to go sit down. He is too afraid to acknowledge that he heard from God, because certain members of his congregation would label him as crazy or false. The congregation should never think that hearing from God is crazy. We are supposed to converse with God, and we are supposed to be crazy for Jesus. (1 Peter 4:11)

That doesn’t mean that a preacher cannot express his own opinion or tell what his own understanding of the Word is. There are lots of places where that’s needed. But, his view point must really be from the Word and the Holy Spirit.

The congregation gets the preacher they deserve. If they are not ready for meat, then they get a preacher who never preaches meat, and the congregation will not grow in Christ. If the congregation doesn’t read the Word, or spend time in prayer or service, fighting the fight of faith how can they be ready for meat?

If all they know is from Bible classes and sermon series, then they are babes. They have never been broken or know Christ. They have never really learned from Him. They are like baby birds sitting in a nest eating regurgitated food from their parents.

Have you ever read the Word? Have you ever really studied it? Not cherry picked sermon series, but actually read and studied the Word? If your pastor started teaching false things, would you really know?

If you get enlightened things from your pastor, and you have never read or studied the Word for yourself, how do you know you are not just getting really good milk? How do you know that it’s not just a good speech? Good speeches can elicit emotions as well. It doesn’t mean the sermon is from God.

The writer of Hebrews goes on to speak of what Milk is.

“Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.”—Heb. 6:1-3

If you do not know the basic doctrines of Christ well enough to go out and teach others and preach the Gospel, then you are still a babe.

Have you asked the Holy Spirit to teach you? Do you realize your teaching comes through getting up and serving? Do you read the Word? Do you have real faith in God? Do you only get your doctrines from one man teaching milk?

Does your pastor feed you milk, because he wants to keep the flock in the pen so he can fleece them of tithes? Perhaps, you’re not growing in Christ because the leader you keep following doesn’t really know Him? Is he too afraid to preach the meat of the Word because he doesn’t want to upset the rich people of the church who pay his salary?

We are called to be soldiers in Christ. We are supposed to be serving God. That means that our pastors, preachers and teachers are supposed to be letting the Holy Spirit, speak through them for the purpose of getting people saved and preparing them to go forth and fight the true fight of faith. They should be leading and providing means for them to really serve. Not just waiting on tables or doing tasks, but exercising their gifts for real out in the world. Not just sitting on committees and doing bible studies.

We are supposed to be telling people about Jesus. Not bringing them to church so that someone else can tell them about Jesus. The time we waste between inviting a person to church and them showing up, is the time Satan draws them away. We are supposed to be prepared to give the Gospel at the moment Jesus brings someone to us. Not force them to wait a week to come to church and hope the preacher happens to give the Gospel that week. Are you really ready to serve? Can you not present the Gospel? If not, then are you really saved? Do you understand it enough to really know it? (1 Peter 3:15)

We are supposed to be taught by the Holy Spirit, and listen to his guidance as He leads us to serve and learn from teachers who really speak the Word. ( 1 John 2:27, John 16:13)

But, are we “dull of hearing” because we are lazy and sitting in that same old pew? We have been lulled into a stupor and need woken up? Like the writer of Hebrews says “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again “

They had fallen into false doctrine. They had never grown. They did not really know Christ because they were never taught by Him. They had left the basic doctrines.

This is why the writer goes on to say some of the most terrifying words in the scriptures.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.”—Heb. 6:4-8

He is warning them. They had heard the Gospel. They had woken up with joy. They had been partakers of the Holy Spirit’s work, and seen Him move. But, they were still babes. They still consumed milk. They never grew. This should be a red flag, that they never really got saved.

Since they never grew, they turned away into false things. They turned from God and his salvation unto their own self-righteousness. You must understand these are people who are sitting in the church reading this letter.

They had turned away from the basic teachings of Christ. They had turned to thinking they were saved by obeying the Law, and by doing good works, instead of grace by faith. This is why the writer speaks of relearning the basic doctrines, when they should be teachers of it. Because they never really got it.

These people did not lose their salvation, they never really had it. They never really knew Christ. They just saw the truth, but never really moved to accept it and become a part of it. They just sat in their pews and ate the food, clapped to the music and enjoyed the story telling from the pulpit. But, it never changed them. It never led them to be saved. It never led them to grow in Christ.

These people are like the folks in the parable of the sower. The tares among the wheat. They are birds in the tree, stealing the seed. (Matthew 13)

They never really knew Him. The devil snatched the Word from their heart. Persecutions and tribulations kept them from trusting God. The flesh, the cares of this life and the deceitfulness of riches kept them from really turning to God. They were never saved.

These folks are the foolish virgins. They are the ones who say “have we not done marvelous works in thy name?“. They are the ones at the wedding feast in the wrong clothes, because they never really put faith in God for salvation through Jesus Christ. They trusted in their own works and their own name to save them. They thought that living a life resisting temptation and not sinning was knowing Christ. Ignoring the fact that Christ died for those sins, and giving it all to Him and following Him. (Matthew 22, Matt 25)

They “crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame” because they never really accepted the salvation from Jesus the first time. They did not accept the salvation Jesus gave them. They are like Moses who hit the Rock twice, because his flesh did not allow him to realize that all he needed to do was speak to the Rock, and get water. It was his work, he thought, that brought out salvation, not the finished work of Christ. ( Exodus 17:1-7 ,Numbers 20:1-12, 1 Cor. 10:4 )

We confess our sins and He cleanses us and changes us. That’s the relationship. We don’t change ourselves. Sinners cannot change their own sinful ways, for all they do breeds more sin.

Do you know Him? Are you ready for meat? Are you following the Holy Spirit? Are you serving in your gift from God? Are you fighting the enemy, helping and serving others?

Or are you sitting in a pew for years, getting milk from someone who probably should not have been a preacher?

Ask God to save you and grow you.

The God Who Answers

He is there and will answer. We live our lives in this world, where we seem to have no control. Where we look every where for answers. Everything seems hard and we have sorrow, working our selves to death. We seek answers from gods, idols and wisemen. We seek answers from deep within ourselves. We…

The Princes Of This World

Who really rules? Let’s talk about some conspiracy and spiritual truth for a moment. Because you must understand that there is only ONE conspiracy. And that’s the spiritual battle behind the scenes, that we all can see parts of, and have a feeling about, but cannot completely prove. The people who rule this world are…

Overcoming Anxiety And Fear

It is a demon. Cast it out. Jesus said, “Fear Not” (Matt. 10:31) He said it many times.  Actually, it’s a theme throughout scripture. Fear at its most basic level, is a lack of trust in God and His promises. That is a harsh saying, especially when we are dealing with anxiety. Because, often times…

The Thief On The Cross

A picture of us all    The thief on the cross, spoken of in the Gospels of our Lord Jesus, stands as an extreme view of salvation in the eyes of some.  The man who did what appears to be absolutely nothing, yet Jesus himself saved him declaring, “Today you shall be with me in…

Are You Really Following Jesus?

Make sure. What does it mean to follow the real Jesus? Well, let’s look and see. Jesus’s ministry was a ministry of healing. This should tell us something about what we believe in regards to the Gospel and how we are to serve God. Because we want to be like Him. That is real godliness.…

I Am Legion

You are never too far gone. In the books of Luke, Mark, and Matthew we see the story of the Gadarene Demoniac. (Mark 5:1-20, Luke 8:26-39, Matt. 8:28-34) He had an unclean spirit, which called itself “Legion” because there were many of the demons inhabiting this man. He lived in the tombs, crying out and…

Should We Embrace Change?

Not all change is equal.

They say that there is one constant in life and that is change. Therefore, because of this fact we should just accept change and move on.

This is basically adaptation. In the wild, if a species doesn’t adapt to change, they will probably cease to exist in the future. Therefore, adapting to change or accepting it or embracing it, is actually a survival tactic for individuals and even helps the species to survive.

Ok? You got that?

There’s a lot of truth in the statements above. But the concept has always bothered me. Mostly because I’m a rebel at heart and being told that I must accept something doesn’t sit well with me.

But that is not the whole reason. The real reason is because something in me says that this isn’t correct. It’s not entirely accurate. If you know the truth, the truth will set you free.

So, what is the truth?  Well, the truth is that there are two types of change. Just like there’s two types of evil. Natural and Man-Made. (We could add in a third spiritual type but let’s keep it simple)

Now that we have split the difference it is easier to see the problem.

Yes, natural change such as aging, death, disease, natural disasters, decline, accidents, are things that happen, and we should accept the change, mitigate the harm and move on. There are things we can do to protect ourselves, and lessen the impact, and we should do that, but at the end of the day things will change.

But Man-Made change is often caused by selfishness, greed, ignorance, hate, foolishness, carelessness, unkindness, procrastination, indifference, and on and on… (Along with spiritual things, but we are keeping it simple. Cough cough…demons…cough cough…)

Man-made changes need to be evaluated and resisted if found to be evil.

Often times, man-made change is the result of one person sitting on a throne, or a group of people who think they are better than the rest of us.

They often listen to a group of rich and powerful people who do not care about you and me. They care about profit and traditions of men. They care about rules, and maintaining positions.

They listen to people who are busy bodies trying to justify their purpose. They listen to scammers who profit off of keeping things stirred up, and creating problems, so they can bring solutions.

So, no. This type of change should be rejected not embraced.

Do you realize how much destruction and suffering exist because of the decisions made by humans?

How much pain and suffering have you and your family endured because of changes brought by some leader?

How much change has occurred because leaders want to punish all of us, because of the actions of a few?

Sure, we can just suck it up. We can just embrace change and move to capitalize on it. Heck, we might even get rich in the process, then we can make the rules and change things.  Right?  How often does that actually happen?

For some reason when a person gets to a level where they can fix things, the person changes and become just like the oppressors they sought to fix.

Too many people for too long have just accepted man-made change and refused to suffer in order to create the changes that need to happen.

Rather than just accepting and embracing the changes the oppressors give us. Start giving the oppressors, changes they must embrace and accept.

And of course, I’m not talking about violence. (You got to clarify this or they will try to claim you’re violent.)

Just realize that not all change should be accepted. Some change comes from people who cannot find their way out of a circular room. Some change comes from people with questionable motives. Some change comes from people doing downright evil things.

Embracing it. Is embracing evil.

Those in charge want you to accept change. Because, as it has been said. “All that needs to happen for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing.”

That statement becomes truer if you can get good men to accept evil. Or justify it. Or embrace it.

You are free. So be free. You can choose to embrace whatever you like.

But, don’t embrace change, just for change’s sake.

Embrace what is good, and sow love, and light and kindness into the world.

Then, watch good things come.

Overcoming The Saints

The saints will be overcome. The scriptures are clear that the Anti-Christ will make war with the saints and overcome them. (Dan. 7:25, Rev. 13:7) I want to point out how this is likely to occur and how it is already started. I am not giving a prophecy here. I’m just pointing out some things.…

The Christian And Violence

What is the truth? I want to start with the ultimate truth, then talk about the current times, and prophecy. If you want to know God’s will on any subject you can probably find it in the Garden at Creation. There was no evil or death present. Nothing killed anything else. The humans and animals…

Fear Not

God is with us “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” –Luke 12:32 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”— 2 Tim. 1:7 “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is…

The Internet and Social Media

Tools for the Last Days

God allowed the internet and social media to exist, for the purpose of spreading the Gospel, and His Word in these last days.

Yes, there is evil. Yes, the enemy is using the internet and social media to unite the world for his Kingdom.

Yes, it was brought into being by the spirit of antichrist in order to build the Kingdom of the Anti-Christ.

Yes, it is the modern equivalent of the Tower of Babel from the days of old.

It is a picture of the same battle that has been fought between good and evil since the Fall of man. Since the enemy rebelled against God. Since the Lord ascended and the promise of His return was given.

We can see throughout history, the struggle between forces.

We can see the common tongue, in Jesus day was Greek, and the violent Roman empire ruled the known world.

And it was through Greek, Latin and the roads of the Roman empire that the Gospel was spread, and the saints grew in number, till the Church became the religion of Rome.

Then, Satan used false leaders in the Catholic Church to suppress the Word, excommunicating and killing anyone who opposed them.

But, the Word was printed and translated into other languages so the truth and the Gospel could spread. But evil spread with it, and tried to stop it.

Kings of Europe, rose up and fought wars, colonizing, and spreading their power around the world. Satan’s servants enslaving, murdering, worshiping money, and annihilating entire people groups. Putting the whole world in debt to the fallen ones.

But, within it the Gospel and God’s Word spread around the world using The Spanish, French and British languages and empires, as a tool.

Till the world broke free from the Kings, and formed new governments, and Constitutions promising free religion and free speech to spread the Gospel and God’s Word around the world.

But a new last days empire has arose, and was taken over by the same desire to grow, and kill and exploit the world and create a New World Order Kingdom of the Anti-Christ.

In the midst of it, the Gospel is spread globally, even in restricted countries.

Then the internet came into being. The new Tower of Babel, to unite the world.

But, it allows the saints through social media and websites to spread the Gospel so the Word can be published in every nation, till the end comes. (Matt. 24:14)

As governments, corporations and religious leaders work to quell rebellion and to control free speech on line, working to silence opposition, and to prepare for the coming of the Mark of the Beast. The saints continue to work.

While things move towards the final persecution of the saints when the Anti-Christ over comes them. (Daniel 7:21, Dan. 7:25, Rev. 13:7)

Till the Lord returns and sets up his ever lasting kingdom.

Are you working?

What Is Death?

It’s important to know. Death on its most basic level means separation. It is not an end, as some suppose. The Bible teaches that we are triune, like God. We are made in His image. We have a body, a soul and a spirit. When God created everything He created it good. Evil was contained…

Matthew 25 Church

Are we prepared for His return? Matthew Chapter 25 is a chapter in the New Testament that describes what will happen when Christ returns. It states that He will separate the sheep from the goats. It appears that this judgment is not the Great White Throne judgment, where the lost are judged. This judgment is…

Let Us Be Content

Always more. More, More, More.  “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”— Heb.…

There is an Entity

Does it ever feel like you have an enemy?

There is an Entity,
that fights to keep me back.

Everything I seek to do,
gets put on hold, with no control.

Over and over I try;
 and again the effort dies.

My bills are always on time,
but my blessings never arrive.

Who makes everything wait?
Who calls around behind my back?

Bad news always finds a way,
but the good news waits and waits.

What is this thing that comes on time,
to make everything else seem to fail?

It’s not a coincidence,
when it’s obviously done.

I could have been a contender,
but this entity takes over.

Major business call coming?
Cell phone just quit working.

Everybody watching me?
I trip and fall in everything.

In a hurry to get out?
Something dumb breaks down.

Someone shows up to say hi?
Never the ones I really wanna see.

That Entity drags it’s feet,
and causes the world to twist.

Just to slow me down,
and make me give up.

Just to tick me off,
and make me fail.

Just to distract me,
and get me off track.

To keep me in this hole,
till the day I die.

Having never really lived,
except to chase my tail.

That Entity is real,
and I can’t seem to escape.

Sometimes, the Entity
is me.

But, not every time.

When will I be free?

I have faith it will come.

As If By Fire

We Are Being Sanctified “Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s…

Test The Spirits

You can know for sure. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that…
